Preferred Accommodation

The 2017 Early Childhood Education Conference recommends that delegates stay at the Pullman and Mercure Melbourne Hotel.

Free transport will be provided from this hotel to and from Caulfield Racecourse on both days of the Conference.  Please indicate at the time of booking your accommodation whether you will be using the Conference shuttle.

The Pullman and Mercure Melbourne at Albert Park is only minutes from the heart of Melbourne and has special rates for conference delegates as follows (accommodation only):

$185 Mercure Guestroom per night

$240 Pullman Guestroom per night

Rooms are subject to availability and once the standard room type is sold, charges apply for upgraded room types.  The above accommodation only-rates are for 1-2 people.

The Pullman and Mercure Melbourne Albert Park is a non-smoking hotel.

Check-in is from 2.00pm and check-out is at 11.00am.

Optional extras:

$30 for Buffet Breakfast (per person).  Must be booked with reservation for discounted price.

Parking is available from $20.00 per day/per exit for Self Park or for $35.00 for Valet Service.

DET accommodation assistance

APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED

The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) provides funding to ELAA to offer Victorian children’s services employees and early childhood educators in Prep, Years 1 and 2 working in a rural area with rebates for their conference accommodation costs.

Accommodation will be provided at the Pullman and Mercure Melbourne Albert Park.

DET will pay accommodation for one night ($185 standard room rate – Thursday or Friday night only) for delegates attending one day of the conference, and accommodation for two nights ($370 standard room rate – Thursday and Friday nights only) for delegates attending both the Friday and Saturday sessions.

In addition, transport to and from the conference venue will be provided from both hotels on both days of the conference.

Please note that this assistance is limited and will be provided on a first come, first served basis.  To apply for this assistance, you must book and pay for your accommodation at the Pullman and Mercure Albert Park then email tdecarli@elaa.org.au your request for a rebate along with a copy of the booking confirmation from the hotel.

Your rebate cheque/EFT will be reimbursed to you after the conference.
